Lyrics
Wake up the world but close my door
'cause I can't feel you anymore
and something tells me this ain't right

Behind the scenes you'll hear me sing
a ballad of my broken dreams
I can't even put up a fight

Drop the gun, but carry on
'cause this is not where you belong
and no one wants to hear you say goodbye

From miles away we'll hear you scream
a ballad of your broken dreams
and all you really lost was your life

I gave it my best
but did you give it your all?
I failed your test
You trip and you fall
Forgetting the rest
but this is your call
I'm giving up
you can have it all

You say that I say that you want me to change
But I say if you stay things will never be the same
And you say that I say I never wanted to stay
before long I'll be gone and you wont have to go away

I hit the road to clear my mind
It leaves me feeling strangely fine
but that don't mean I've figured things out

Down the street I start to sing
a ballad of my broken dreams
lost beyond a shadow of a doubt

Take it slow but dont be long
and dont come back until you're gone
we'll miss you every step of the way

Remember how we used to sing
a ballad of your broken dreams
it seems like it were only yesterday
